What Is DMA Firmware?

Firmware is the software that lives on your DMA card itself. Think of it as the card's "identity" — it tells your computer what the card is, what it does, and how it should behave. Without proper firmware, your DMA card shows up as an unknown or suspicious device, which is a red flag for anti-cheat systems.

Why Custom Firmware Matters

A DMA card with default or no firmware sticks out like a sore thumb. Anti-cheat software scans your PCIe devices and checks their identities. If it sees something it doesn't recognize — or something that looks like a known DMA development board — it can flag or ban you.

Custom firmware solves this by disguising your DMA card as a completely normal device — like a network adapter, a sound card, or a storage controller. When anti-cheat scans your hardware, it sees what appears to be a legitimate, everyday device.

Firmware Tiers

Not all games have the same level of anti-cheat protection, so we offer different firmware tiers to match your needs:

Standard Firmware

Covers the most common anti-cheat systems including BattlEye, Easy Anti-Cheat (EAC), and Ricochet. This is the right choice for most popular games like Tarkov, Apex, Fortnite, and PUBG.

Advanced Firmware

Everything in Standard, plus coverage for ACE (Anti-Cheat Expert) — used in games with stricter protection. If your game uses ACE or you want an extra layer of safety, this is the tier to go with.

Elite Firmware

The highest tier — covers everything in Advanced plus Riot Vanguard, the most invasive anti-cheat on the market. If you play Valorant or want maximum protection across all games, Elite is the way to go.
